Where the night ends
From Sunday to Tuesday, Playtime's Water Street floor downtown keeps its doors open between 10 am and 1 am. From Wednesday to Saturday it stays open to 2 am. Out on Springfield Road, Chances keeps a 9 am to 1 am schedule each Sunday through Wednesday. Thursday to Saturday, it runs to 2 am.
Wednesday is the night the two split: Playtime keeps going to 2 am while Chances closes at 1 am. On a Thursday both floors run to 2 am. The same holds on Friday and Saturday. Both shut at 1 am on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
The order things close
On Springfield Road the kitchens go first. DICE Kitchen + Bar, upstairs on the second floor, closes at 10 pm every day. Chips Café follows at 11 pm. Chances Bar pours walk-up drinks until 11:45 pm from Sunday to Wednesday, and until 12:45 am from Thursday to Saturday.
After the bar, the floor is what is left. The live tables at Chances run to close, and the poker room keeps the same end: 1 am from Sunday to Wednesday, 2 am from Thursday to Saturday.
The list on Water Street is shorter. In the middle of the Playtime floor, the Arcade Bar opens at 4 pm and stays open until close, as do the 16 live tables and the two-table poker room. Everything on that list closes together: 1 am on Sunday through Tuesday, 2 am on Wednesday through Saturday. No hours are published by Playtime for MATCH Eatery & Public House.
Late starters
Some tracks begin in the late afternoon. Both poker rooms open at 4 pm, with one exception: on Sunday the Chances room starts at 11 am. Playtime takes seat reservations by phone from 11 am at 250-860-9467, and Chances players register through the Poker Atlas app.
Although the live tables at Chances open at 10:30 am, some games hold off until evening. Roulette gets going at 6 pm, Baccarat at 6:30 pm. Friday and Saturday add Face-Up Fortune Pai Gow plus a High Limit Blackjack table ($25-$1000), both starting at 6:30 pm and running until close.
