Help Lines Near Playtime Casino Kelowna

Gambling Support BC answers its line at every hour, so it is still there after both Kelowna casinos have closed for the night. This page sets out that number alongside the programs that run inside the casinos themselves.

One number, any hour

Gambling Support BC, on 1-888-795-6111, picks up at any hour through the whole week, and each call is free and kept confidential. That includes the hours after the last floor in Kelowna shuts. Behind the line is a provincial program, run by B.C.'s Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO). Calls are open to any B.C. resident and to those affected by another person's gambling, such as a partner, a parent or an adult child. The website is gamblingsupportbc.ca.

Game Break and GameSense

Game Break is a voluntary self-exclusion program operated by BCLC. The enrollee sets the length, picking 6 months or a term of 1, 2 or 3 years. After the choice is made, the term stays fixed. It also covers PlayNow.com. On Water Street, Playtime Casino Kelowna turns away anyone enrolled in Game Break at the door; enrolling takes a visit to any casino, bringing government-issued photo ID.

A GameSense Advisor is on hand at every casino in B.C. Chances Casino Kelowna on Springfield Road also has an on-site GameSense information centre. Staff there explain how the games work and what the odds are. They also help guests set personal limits.

Pick the stop time first

This is general advice, not a fact about either casino. Built into each casino game is a house edge, which means that across many nights, players taken together win less than they lose. A late night is easier to end on time when two numbers are set before the first bet. One is the stop time, and the other is the spending limit. Neither has to match the hour a floor closes.
